Tigers Players Move on

I would like to take time to say goodbye to several Tiger players who have moved out of state. Those player are Stra (Europe),Teddy & Jaron (California). These 3 players were instumental to the tigers boys team getting recognition as a very  good boys club team in the 11u and 12u divisions. Although the team won many games, we never really had the complete team to beat the elite teams on a consistent basis, but with Teddy, Stra & Jaron we were always in a close game with the top teams and at times would beat them. With many other club teams trying to pull them away, the boys as well as boys parents, made me realize that this is more than just basketball as they continued to stay loyal to the end. Stra, Teddy and Jaron were amongst the best players in their age group and would have started on most club team in the state! Good luck to you guys in the future. I also would like to thank Sasha(Stra's Dad) for the creation of the Tiger website as well as the Southwest Basketball & Az Youth Volleyball websites. Sasha dedicated his time to create website and refused to take a penny for his work, as I have told you many times the Tiger Family appreciates you! Thanks for everything.

Lady Tiger Makes Great High School Debut-Breaks School Record

Original Lady Tiger Savannah Ecklund had an great start to her High School career by breaking her school record with 33 points in the Desert Edge Classic. Savannah has been a Tiger since the 4th grade, although we have many players that are in High School that have played with the Tigers, she is part of the group that have been with us since the beginning that is now in their first year of High School (Elise Jack- Westview, Latonia Walter -?) are others. In Ecklund's first game as a freshman starting on the varsity at Estrella Foothills she scored 21points in the teams one point loss to Ciabola. In the second game of the Desert Edge classic Savannah scored 33 point and breaks school record for most points in a game, but her team lost in overtime after Ecklund fouls out. Savannah goes on to lead her team in scoring the next two games, which earns her on the all- tournament team and a interview in the West Valley View as well asd making her Tiger coach very proud! Every week we will profile Tiger players asI get around to watch players at their school games. If parents have pictures of players at games please send them and we will post them on website.
